Adtech have developed over the years a number novel ways of thermoforming and fabricating fluoroplastics.
As these materials are expensive compared with the common plastic materials and difficult to process, many of the applications using fluoroplastics are of relatively small volume. These means that the cost of tooling for say injection moulding, is prohibitive. Adtech have developed techniques that allow small volumes to be produced at reasonable cost.
The major process we use are:
Using a combination of these techniques the requirements of most designers can be met. To save time and money it is important to consult with us at an early stage in the development of a product. We can apply all these techniques to PTFE, FEP, PFA and many other polymers to make all possible products
This
very light duty bellow was made from discs vacuum formed from 50 micron FEP
film, then the inner and outer edges of the discs alternatively welded together
to form bellow.

The flanges on these laboratory sampling probes were made by different techniques of micro compression moulding. These process can be applied to much larger objects up 250mm in diameter.
