Shatterproof UV Lamps
Lamps covered with heat shrink FEP and other fluoropolymers
FEP is both transparent to UV -A and UV-C light and totally resistant to it as well as being temperature resistant. Therefore it makes an excellent material for shatter proofing UV lamps used in the food industry where glass free areas are required. Other plastic coverings enbrittle or discolour under the effect of the UV radiation .If the lamp suffers damage the glass etc. is contained in the shrunk on jacket.

Covering Circular and Other Styles of Lamps
Adtech supply heat shrinkable FEP sleeves for shrinking on lamps and also offer a low cost service for covering free issue lamps. Lamps currently covered include 16mm, 25mm and 38mm diameter straight, "U" shaped tubes and "Circline" types.
Very Low Light Transmission Loss
Loss of UV-A and UV-C light is much less than with other polymer coatings . For our usual coatings, loss of UV-A is around 4% and UV-C is 11%. We know of no other suitable flexible coatings that provide less loss of UV. (See our test results)
Adtech Shrinking Machine for applying our heat-shrinkable sleeves to linear lamps
We have developed this simple machine so that customers can simply and easily shrink our material onto their own lamps. Coating rates of over 200 lamps per hour can be achieved.
In house lamp coating is appreciated by distributors and users of lamps who can shatterproof standard lamps as required in small or large quantities.
