This product is a temperature sensor element completely encapsulated in a FEP sheath. The sheath extends from the tip of the probe right up to the wire terminations. This length is 1, 2 or more metres as requested, therefore any immersion length is possible. As the probe is pure fluoroplastic it can be used in ANY application up to 200oC. It withstands all chemicals and solvents, and is made from an FDA approved material for food or medical applications. Low cost compared with equivalent products.

luoroplastics
are the ideal material for covering and encapsulating instrumentation probes.
The material is resistant to virtually all chemicals at temperatures over 200oC.,
and is FDA approved. Adtech use a variety of technologies to encapsulate
measurement elements. Typically thermocouples, thermisters, bimetallics for
temperature control, and also capacitance and magnetic for level & proximity
detection.
Techniques used include shrink on tubing, moulding, spray coating and
fluoroplastic welding. This enables us to cover probes from 0.5mm to 40mm
diameter, and any length.
We also encapsulate mercury in glass thermometers for shatterproofing.

virtually all chemicals.The heat-shrink temperature is very low (110 degree C) and so delicate sensors such as thermistors are not affected by the heat, but FEP covering is resistant to 200 degree C.
If necessary the boots can be supplied with the inside surface etched so that the FEP can be bonded to the surface of the probe although normally this is not necessary.
A size range from 4mm to 25mm is available and other sizes can be made to order.
