Adtech Polymer Engineering Ltd was founded by Patrick Thody and incorporated in 1982 as a private limited company . We are independent and not owned or controlled by any other companies. Since our incorporation in 1982 we have been profitable and shown continuous steady growth.
Adtech employ over 20 people at two sites, Stroud England and Lochgelly Scotland.
We are stockist and manufacturers of high performance plastic products, mainly fluoropolymers. The main backbone of our business is fluoroplastic tubing, of which we claim to have the widest ex-stock range in Europe. We also convert this into products such as heat shrinkable tubing, probes, custom assemblies etc. Our philosophy is to give excellent sales, service, quality and technical advice.
The product groups are as follows;
- PTFE, FEP and PFA thin wall tubing 1mm to 100mm diameter.
- PTFE and FEP heat shrinkable sleeving.
- Heat shrinkable non-stick FEP roller covers.
- Tube manipulation coils, flanged tubes.
- Welded PTFE and FEP products Fluid sampling containers, instrumentation probes, medical components etc.
- PTFE and FEP film, including products made from film such as pouches and bags
- Engineering plastics stock PTFE granular, PVDF sheet, rod and tube.
- PTFE granular moulded sheet, rod and tube.
- Machined parts from the above materials.
- PTFE glasscloth products, both bulk and slit tapes & belts
Our head office at the Stroud works which is the main distribution centre for our stocks of fluoroplastic products, as well as manufacture of heat shrinkable tubing, gas sampling bags, manipulated tube products, custom made products and medical device components. In Scotland we manufacture large diameter heat shrink tubing for roller covering etc., lamp & glass shatterproofing products, and lined fluoroplastic products for the food, pharmaceutical, & chemical industries.
We are a very innovative company and many of the products we make and processes we use have been developed in house by our own engineers.

Adtech Polymer Engineering Ltd gained ISO 9002 approval in 1995, and now both our operations in Stroud and Lochgelly have ISO 9001:2000 certification.
